Our Kitale Orphanage Project Underway!
We are building homes for orphans.....
The construction of our Kitale, Kenya orphanage is in its third and final stage. We used a “green” technology known as interlocking compressed earth blocks to manufacture all of the bricks needed for this orphanage. The reason this technology is “green” is because the bricks are not baked, which consumes a lot of wood and pollutes our air quality. These bricks are a mixture of soil, sand, cement, and water. Once the soil mixture is ready, it is put into a machine that compresses the soil mixture into a brick and then the bricks are covered and left to dry for about 30 days before being used to build. We have recently completed the structure of this orphanage and will be adding the roof, doors, and windows in the coming weeks. This new orphanage will host our international volunteers and will have the capacity to house around 50 orphans.

We are working for you to save lives....
The Abandoned Children’s Foundation goes to extremes to find and rescue orphaned children. We visit high risk areas, Such as the Kenyan – Somalian boarder and Kenyan – Sudanese boarder to make sure every orphaned child has a chance.
The children’s home which these orphans are place in have been built by our staff and are permanent homes for these children. We have hired great care givers and grounds keepers to make sure these children get the best care.
Of course we provide clean water, food, and shelter, but we also provide counseling to these children. Abandonment alone can cause depression, social issues, and psychological disorders. This is why we work with local hospitals and clinics to make sure we provide counseling which will help these children reach their true potential.

We are trying to change the way people view international nonprofit organization by allowing our donors to visit our projects through our very affordable international volunteering programs. We believe that allowing our donors to visit our projects brings the highest level of transparency to our organization and allows our donors to share in our success, while getting to be a part of the children’s lives in which we help.
We are different than the typical international nonprofit organization, because unlike most international nonprofit organization, we operate our own facilities in the countries we work. Practically all of the large international nonprofit organization take donation from their donors and use this money to provide support for partner organization on the ground.
